Etorix 120 Tablet contains Etoricoxib 120 mg, a selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor used for the management of pain and inflammation. By selectively inhibiting the COX-2 enzyme, it reduces the production of prostaglandins responsible for pain and inflammation, while minimizing gastrointestinal side effects associated with non-selective NSAIDs.
It is commonly indicated for conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute gouty arthritis, and other acute pain conditions including dental or postoperative pain. The 120 mg strength is typically used for short-term management of acute pain or severe inflammation.
Etorix should be taken as directed by a registered physician, usually once daily. Due to potential cardiovascular and renal risks, it should be used at the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible duration.
