Nitrin SR Tablet (Sustained Release)

Nitrin SR Tablet contains Nitroglycerin 2.6 mg, a nitrate vasodilator used primarily in the prevention of angina pectoris. It works by relaxing vascular smooth muscles, leading to dilation of blood vessels, improved blood flow to the heart, and reduced cardiac oxygen demand.

The sustained-release (SR) formulation provides a gradual and prolonged release of the active ingredient, helping maintain stable blood levels and longer-lasting therapeutic effects compared to immediate-release forms.

It is commonly prescribed for the long-term prevention of chest pain due to coronary artery disease. Nitrin SR is not intended for immediate relief of acute angina attacks.
