Angilock Tablet contains Losartan Potassium 50 mg, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) used for the management of hypertension. It works by selectively blocking the binding of angiotensin II to AT1 receptors, resulting in vasodilation and reduced blood pressure.
It is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension and may also be used to reduce the risk of stroke in patients with hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy. Additionally, it helps in protecting kidney function in patients with type 2 diabetes and proteinuria.
Angilock is typically taken once daily, with or without food, as directed by a registered physician. Regular monitoring of blood pressure is recommended during therapy.
